About
People do not need to be made more interesting. You just need to look closely enough.
I bought my first camera when I was seventeen and immediately began filming the people around me. What fascinated me then still drives my work today: the moment when someone recognises themselves in an image — not polished into somebody else, but seen clearly and at their best.
Film has been the constant throughout my professional life. For more than two decades, across Poland and Germany, I have worked between documentary, directing, screenwriting, pedagogy and production. This experience taught me to combine a strong visual idea with careful listening, clear guidance and respect for the person in front of the camera.
Visual quality matters deeply to me. My films and projects have been presented at festivals, museums, theatres and cultural institutions, and have received awards and distinctions. After many years of running my own production practice, I now work under my own name — a clearer reflection of how personal my approach has always been.
